Cal Poly Coding Bootcamp

Program Description

Cal Poly is now offering a comprehensive coding program powered by leading coding bootcamp Fullstack Academy. The part-time, online program will take students from beginner programmers to professional developers in just 26 weeks. The secret to that success is the combination of a cutting-edge curriculum and top-tier career development training, so students complete the program knowing not only how to program, but how to get a job as a programmer.

Cal Poly has partnered with leading bootcamp provider Fullstack Academy to run our coding bootcamp. We worked closely with the leadership team of the Cal Poly Computer Science Department to assess the top coding bootcamps in the United States, and found Fullstack to be the most outstanding -- in terms of academic rigor, student rankings, student outcomes and cultural fit with the Cal Poly community. Fullstack is consistently ranked #1 by students across the U.S. and is regularly featured in news outlets like CNBC, TechCrunch and Forbes. After our analysis, we invited Fullstack Academy to partner with us to design, build and run the coding bootcamp at Cal Poly (with the first class launching in early 2019).

The Industrial Advisory Board for the Cal Poly Computer Science and Software Engineering Department is fully supportive of bringing in the top-rated coding bootcamp to provide the instruction for our Extended Education coding bootcamp. We have a unique opportunity to provide access to coding instruction unavailable from overtaxed or impacted Cal Poly Computer Science resources. The selected coding bootcamp provider, Fullstack Academy, has thousands of successful graduates and is #1 in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago as rated by students. Fullstack Academy has over fifty employees focused at delivering the top coding bootcamp experience and hiring outcome for their students.

Dan Weeks, Chairman, Cal Poly Computer Science and Software Engineering Industrial Advisory Board.
